Cubic Zirconia
What is Cubic zirconia?
Cubic zirconia (CZ) is the crystalline form of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2).
It is a synthesized diamond stimulant material that is hard and colorless, and may be made in a variety of different colors.
How does it compare to a diamond?
Cubic Zirconias are comparable to diamonds in terms of hardness and clarity. To the untrained eye, a CZs is difficult to tell apart from a diamond. CZs have a Mohs hardness rating of 8.5 as compared to diamonds at 10. This makes CZs extremely scratch resistant almost like a diamond.
On the clarity scale, as CZs are specially engineered in a lab, they have a clarity rating of a VVS diamond.
Why do we use cubic zirconia?
There are many factors on the decision to use Cubic Zirconias as compared to other gemstones. The two greatest factors will be its quality and vibrance. It is a gemstone that has minimal impact on environmental harm, easily molded to perfection that carries similar equivalence to that of diamonds and other gemstones. This means that we can spend more time and research into perfecting the most beautiful and perfect designs for you.
How to care for a cubic zirconia?
CZs are easy to care for and only require occasional cleaning. Wash gently with water and light soap occasionally to care for it.
